I would suggest you just show your respect. The rest (in this context is respect back) we just leave it to Allah.

ReplyDeletebut after reading further, it means 'expect respect back' in the context of teacher-student (to some extent there should be a borderline between teacher n student not for highlighting the status level, but to preserve the accountability of a teacher. wallahua'lam.
